
The Network Civil Society for Migration was established in 2023 frames of project Civil Society Network for Better Migration Policy, implemented by the Innovations and Reforms Center (IRC), as a coordination mechanism and expert resource for those organisations and persons, who work in the field of migration at policy, as well as grass-root level.
The project "Civil Society for Migration" is implemented by the Innovations and Reforms Center (IRC), in frames of the project "Strengthening Development Impact of Migration in Georgia" (STREAMinG), implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) with the financial support of the European Union and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The Network represents a union of civil society representatives working in the field of migration and multi-thematic areas related to migration. Our Mission is to involve a wide spectrum of the civil sector in the development of migration policies, to strengthen the capacities of civil society, to promote the expansion of cooperation with public and private sectors, and to enhance and mutual cooperation among civil society.

Civil Society for Migration was established in 2023 and its strategic objectives for the first two years are conditioned to effectively achieve the general objectives and purpose of the Network.
Strategic objectives for 2023-2024 follow:
Unite civil society organisations and persons working on migration and multi-thematic areas related to migration across Georgia
Strengthen capacities and engagement of members in the development of migration policies, and cooperation through joint initatives
Achieve representation in the State Commission on Migration Issues by the end of 2024
Establish an annual forum on migration issues, which will open wide discussion on migration and multi-thematic areas related to migration
