Civil Society for Migration
March 25-27, a 3-day training was held for the member organizations of the network - "Civil Society for Migration" to promote the organizational development of members of the civil platform. A representative of the Governmental Commission on Migration issues participated in the training together with network member organizations, which discussed the 2021-2030 migration strategy and the 2024 action plan.
At the training, the president of the network member organization ,,Civitas Organization" Maya Nasrashvili spoke about such sensitive issues as the problem of children left behind on their homeland as a result of their parents emigration and the main challenges related to gender and migration issues, the importance and necessity of focused activities - child -friendly municipal approaches for parents left behind in their homeland as a result of their emigration children.
Vladimir Mkervalishvili, director of the "Rights of Georgia" organization, conducted a session on modern story-telling techniques and conflict-sensitive communication for the training participants.
At the last session, the gender component of migration was discussed, which was chaired by representatives of several organizations: Yulia Kharashvili, IGP women's association "Tankhmoba"; Ekaterine Gamakharia, Women's Foundation "Sukhumi"; Nana Todua, Association "Mercury". During the session, they talked about the main challenges related to gender and migration issues in Georgia. Economic empowerment of women in the context of regional development was also discussed.
The training was organized by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
The activities of the network - "Civil Society for Migration" are coordinated by the Secretariat, whose role is currently performed by the Center for Innovations and Reforms.

Civil Society for Migration-online meeting
On April 5, the Innovation and Reform Center (IRC) organized a meeting with the members of the "Civil Society for Migration" network on the online platform.
At the working meeting, the principles of the network's work, its values, strategic goals and network membership were discussed.
The project "Civil Society Network for a Better Migration Policy" is implemented by the Center for Innovations and Reforms in cooperation with the Kakheti Regional Development Fund within the framework of the "Strengthening the Impact of Migration on Development in Georgia" (STREAMinG) project, which is implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMDPD) of the European Union and Switzerland and with funding from the Cooperation Agency (SDC).

Meeting of network members
On April 28-29, Innovations and Reforms Center (IRC) held a meeting with network members in Kakheti, at this meeting they discussed the concept of the electronic portal of the migration network, the management of the platform and the format of the materials placed on it. Most of the members of the network attended the meeting. One of the goals of the platform is to promote the activities of the network and its members.

Public policy monitoring
On May 22-25, the Innovation and Reform Center (IRC) within the framework of the "Civil Society Network for Better Migration Policy" project, held a training through the Zoom electronic platform.
The main purpose of the meeting was monitoring and evaluation of public policy. The training was conducted by Nani Macharashvili, an expert in public policy and analysis of the project.
